More than 500 million hryvnias and over 500 thousand transactions — where and how much Ukrainians spent money abroad this summer
Most Ukrainians spent money from their cards in the UK during the quarantine summer — almost 80 million UAH, the least in Hungary — more than 3 million UAH. Such data is provided today, September 28, 2020, by the Ukrainian Processing Center.
Thus, compared to the summer of 2019 the growth of card transactions fell by 47,4%, and the amount of purchases decreased by almost 63%.
The five countries where Ukrainians spent a lot of money are among: Great Britain, Turkey — about 71 million UAH, Italy — almost 40 million UAH, France — more than 35 million UAH and Croatia — about 31 million UAH.
Less Ukrainians paid by bank cards in Hungary — there were only 5715 transactions, Bulgaria — 6842 and Austria – 7007 operations.
The average sum of purchases and services made by Ukrainians abroad were 1011 UAH.
It should be noted that the highest average sum of purchases was in Italy — 4389 UAH.
The top countries where Ukrainians withdrew cash through ATM were: USA — almost 26 million UAH, Germany — also almost 26 million and Russia — more than 22 million UAH.
Less cash was withdrawn in Belarus — about 15 million UAH, Bulgaria — almost 25 million UAH and Turkey — more than 4 million UAH.
