As of October 1, 2024, all banks connected to the UPC payment system have introduced new limits on P2P transfers. These changes were implemented in accordance with the requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to ensure the stability of financial operations and enhance the security of transactions between individuals. The limits apply to both the number and total value of transfers allowed within a specific timeframe.
The new restrictions aim to reduce fraud risks and prevent system overloads that may occur with a high volume of concurrent transactions. This measure also enables banks to monitor financial flows more effectively and adhere to modern security standards. The limits are tailored to the operational specifics of each bank, allowing them to be adjusted to meet customer needs.
The implementation of the new limits proceeded smoothly, with all banks meeting the NBU’s requirements on schedule. UPC provided technical support for setting the new parameters and coordinated with banks to prevent any inconvenience for P2P transfer service users.
