UPC first in Ukraine have received the confirmation of successful testing and readiness to process online transactions EMV 3DS acquiring from Visa.

In the fall of 2019 UPC successfully completed the mandatory certification activations for processing EMV 3DS transaction. The company received relevant confirmations from international payment systems, including VISA.

One UPC clients is already processing transactions under the new protocol.

Merchants who use eCommerce connect online payment system can safely accept payments with the help of the new technology and protect themselves from chargebacks.
EMV 3DS 2.0 , compared with 1.0, provides more easy and fast authentification to facilitate payment. This is possible because of secure authentication on the issuer side allows to avoid additional authentication for clients trusted by the card issuer.

In contrast to one-time passwords, 3D Secure 2.0 uses dynamic authentication methods such as biometrics and token-based authentication.
