UPC has signed its first agreements to provide A2A (Account-to-Account) online acquiring services, enabling direct payments from the buyer’s account to the seller’s account (IBAN-to-IBAN) via mobile banking.
The first banks to offer this service to their clients include one commercial bank and one state-owned bank in Ukraine.
This solution opens new opportunities for online stores — allowing them to accept payments without intermediaries, directly from the buyer’s account to the merchant’s account.
Key benefits of A2A acquiring:
• Lower payment processing costs
• No chargebacks
• Reduced risks
• Automatic payer identification
• Exemption from using cash registers (pRRO) in many cases, in accordance with tax regulations
The service is already integrated with 21 mobile banking apps in Ukraine, enabling customers to make payments in just two clicks — from their card-linked IBAN directly to the merchant’s IBAN.
UPC continues to develop digital payment services, providing banks and businesses with tools for fast and efficient payment acceptance in the new cashless economy.
