The service by Ukrainian Processing Center (UPC), called ISaaS (Issuing as a Service), enables banks, fintech companies, and merchants to instantly issue their own virtual and physical payment cards, develop innovative payment solutions, integrate them into mobile applications, and offer a unique customer experience. Today, it already includes more than 50 API functions—and its functionality continues to expand daily. Each client can use only the features that match the needs of their specific product.
The solution is built on REST APIs, a modern platform architecture, and cloud infrastructure, allowing clients to interact with the processing center fully online—without file-based data exchange. ISaaS provides real-time transaction data (authorizations, debits, refunds), account monitoring, and full payment card management (ordering, activation/deactivation, tokenization, setting or modifying limits and other parameters). It also enables access to statistics and analytics, payment status checks, and management of payment requests.
Available payment products include debit and credit cards, as well as installment options. These are delivered through the IS-Card retail system, which is part of UPC’s ISaaS service. In addition, the platform allows instant customer registration, account opening, issuance of a virtual card, tokenization for Apple Pay and Google Pay wallets, and account top-ups via card-to-card transfers. This enables users to start using their payment card immediately.
“Previously, launching such products required fintech companies and banks to implement complex systems and hire specialized staff to support them. Today, the initial investment needed to start issuing virtual cards is minimal. Moreover, we provide a sandbox environment for testing solutions before launch. This has been made possible because ISaaS was designed as a ‘software and platform as a service’ solution.
As a result, the platform ensures rapid integration of financial products into the mobile applications of fintech companies, merchants, and banks, instant issuance of virtual payment cards, and their tokenization in Apple Pay and Google Pay. This makes modern payment services accessible to a wider range of clients who previously did not have access to such capabilities,” commented Andriy Berezyuk, Business Development Director at UPC.
