Ukrainian Processing Center (UPC) has introduced a new service for instant onboarding of merchants selling goods and services online to its client banks. Earlier this year, a similar service was launched for banks engaged in POS terminal acquiring.
This registration is carried out via dedicated APIs. The service’s immediacy is achieved by eliminating file exchange, with all relevant requests processed online in real time.
The service offers banks the following functionality:
• creation of a new online merchant and its terminal;
• creation of a new agreement for an online merchant;
• transparent API-level validation with detailed error messages for quick resolution.
Thanks to this innovative service, UPC’s client banks spend minimal time helping merchants get started accepting payments immediately. At the same time, UPC continues to develop this service, enhancing capabilities for the timely update of operational data and status changes for merchants and terminals.
The introduction of this service is part of the development of the innovative “UPC API” cloud architecture, which went live last year.
In addition to online registration of merchants and terminals, this architecture is currently used to connect cards to 3-D Secure authentication systems (Mastercard Identity Check, Visa Secure, and Prostir e-Secure). Already this year, UPC plans to provide clients with access to most of its services through this modern cloud architecture.
