Ukrainian Processing Center (UPC) has integrated 30 Ukrainian banks into the unified Open Banking infrastructure OneLinkUA, creating a technological gateway that simplifies connectivity between TPPs (Third-Party Providers) and banks and accelerats the development of Open Banking in Ukraine.
The core idea behind OneLinkUA is to establish a single technological interaction point for participants in the Open Banking ecosystem. Instead of each TPP integrating separately with dozens of banks, UPC’s solution lets them access multiple banks through a single technological interface.
This matters because, despite the adoption of the Berlin Group standard in Ukraine, each bank may still have its own API specifications, authorization procedures, and other technical requirements. For TPPs, connecting to OneLinkUA eliminates the need for significant investments in integration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of individual bank connections. A TPP integrates with OneLinkUA once and can then work with all banks connected to the platform through a unified technological process.
"We are gradually doing for Ukrainian Open Banking what processing centers once did for card payments: creating a technological bridge between a large number of banks and other market participants," said Ihor Horin, Head of Strategic Development at UPC.
The OneLinkUA service can be particularly valuable for new TPPs, fintech companies, and large digital platforms planning to leverage Open Banking for payments, financial onboarding, lending, personalization of financial products, and other innovative services.
As the next stage of OneLinkUA’s development, UPC is exploring opportunities beyond the Ukrainian market. The concept envisions gradually building that provides technological connectivity between TPPs and not only Ukrainian but also European banks. For Ukrainian fintech companies, this could mean building a single product with the prospect of scaling across European markets, without needing to develop separate technological architectures for each country and every individual foreign bank.
