Clients of banks serviced by the Ukrainian Processing Center (UPC) were able to promptly take advantage of the increased limits on foreign currency transactions for individuals. The UPC team completed the required system adjustments within just one hour. The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) announced the easing of foreign exchange restrictions, with a focus on supporting the population, on the evening of August 10. By the morning of August 11, all requests from UPC’s banking clients to update transaction limits had already been processed.
As a reminder, the NBU’s package of eased foreign exchange restrictions includes an increase in the monthly limit for individuals to purchase non-cash foreign currency to UAH 200,000 per calendar month, up from UAH 50,000. In addition, the daily limit for individuals to withdraw cash from foreign currency accounts in Ukraine and abroad has been raised to UAH 200,000, up from UAH 100,000.
